On Friday, March 21, former Mallard Creek High School standout Russell Hawkins’ current collegiate team the North Carolina Tar Heels lost 71-64 against the Ole Miss Rebels in the NCAA Division I Basketball Championship Tournament.

Hosted in Fiserv Forum, this was the first game against the Ole Miss Rebels during the championship.

Russell Hawkins’ hometown is Charlotte and game position is guard.
