Whataburger has entered into a multi-year partnership with the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC, becoming a Proud Partner of both organizations. The collaboration will see Whataburger establish a strong presence at Bank of America Stadium through in-stadium activations aimed at enhancing the game-day experience for fans of both teams.

On September 21, Panthers fans will have an opportunity to experience the partnership firsthand when the Whataburger Food Truck arrives at the stadium, offering complimentary Patty Melts and Prickly Pear Raspberry Whatafreshers.

The agreement extends beyond game days. Whataburger will be the presenting partner for the Panthers Girls Flag Football program and support Charlotte FC’s community engagement efforts. The company also plans to back the Panthers’ annual community service event.

“Sports in the Carolinas are all about tradition, passion, and pride—three things that Whataburger fans know a whole lot about,” said Scott Hudler, Chief Marketing Officer at Whataburger. “This multi-year partnership with both the Panthers and Charlotte FC allows us to deepen our connection, serve fans in new ways, and invest in programs that create real impact for the people of the Carolinas.”

“This partnership presents a unique opportunity to unite the passionate fan bases of the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC with Whataburger’s brand loyalty and community-driven values,” said Eric Sudol, Chief Revenue Officer at Tepper Sports & Entertainment. “Together, we’re going to be able to offer something fresh and meaningful for fans across the Carolinas.”

As part of fan engagement initiatives, mascots such as Sir Purr from the Panthers and Sir Minty from Charlotte FC will make appearances at select Whataburger locations throughout North and South Carolina.

Whataburger’s expansion in North and South Carolina has included opening more than twelve new restaurants over two years, with additional locations planned. This growth reflects ongoing investment in local communities. The company has also supported events such as last year’s hurricane disaster relief Concert For Carolina and partnered with local organizations including Wrangler during several grand openings.
