TOWN OF ANDREWS: Town of Matthews Announces 6th Annual Pawsitively Matthews

Town of Andrews issued the following announcement on Oct. 22.

The Matthews Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Resource Department is hosting the 6th Annual “Pawsitively Matthews” in Stumptown Park (120 South Trade Street) on Saturday, November 2, from 10am – 4pm.

Matthews, NC - The Matthews Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resource Department is hosting the 6th Annual “Pawsitively Matthews” in Stumptown Park (120 South Trade Street) on Saturday, November 2, from 10am – 4pm.

The event will host over 50 pet-friendly vendors including area pet stores, veterinarians, treat bakeries, groomers, trainers, pet sitters, and more! There will be dogs available for adoption from several area rescue groups. There are off-leash areas for play, food trucks, and a beer “Pawvilion” hosted by Seaboard Brewing. Listen to live music from the Late Night Special Band, and try your hand at our new rock climbing wall! Admission is free and the event will be held rain or shine.

The Matthews Police Department K9 Unit demonstration will be held at 2:30pm and the Magical Poodle Show performs at 11:00am, 1:00pm, and 3:00pm. Adopt a new best friend in the adoptable dog parades taking place at 10:30am and 12:30pm!

The 2019 Matthews Finest Fido Contest, presented by Williams Subaru, concluded in September. This year’s winner is Winston Corghill, owned by Monica Patel. Winston will be on-hand at the event, and his picture will adorn this year’s event t-shirt.

Jamison Realty is the presenting sponsor of the event. Other sponsors include Camp Bow Wow, Charlotte Metro Credit Union, Williams Subaru, Poop 911, 1110WBT, and 107.9 The Link.
