Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools issued the following announcement on Oct. 28.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Transportation will be holding a hiring event for full-time and part-time drivers. CMS bus drivers are the first and last people students see during the school week. The importance of a bus driver is beyond measure.
CMS Transportation is the largest public school transportation district in the state. It is one of the ten largest transportation districts in the nation.
Starting full-time bus drivers will earn an hourly wage of $17.75 PLUS a $1,000! All full-time and part-time drivers receive benefits.
The hiring event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
