University Of North Carolina Charlotte issued the following announcement on Nov. 26.
At this time, the University plans to hold in-person commencement ceremonies on Friday, December 17, and Saturday, December 18. The ceremonies will take place in the Dale F. Halton Arena located in the James H. Barnhardt Student Activity Center.
On the day of the ceremony, graduating students report to the outdoor tented area between the Cato College of Education building and the Barnhardt Student Activity Center 90 minutes prior to the start of your ceremony to pick up your name card.
Line up will take place in the practice gym. Graduating students must have a valid UNC Charlotte ID or a government-issued photo ID and their UNC Charlotte ID number to participate in commencement.
As the University continues to monitor the impacts of COVID-19, the commencement website will be updated if ceremony plans are altered. Masks will be required for all graduates and guests.
