City of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 28.
As people head out for their NYE celebrations: some things to keep in mind:
Plan out your transportation, don't drink or drive.
Make sure you keep track of your important belongings.
Possessing fireworks without a permit is illegal in NC.
