City of Charlotte issued the following announcement on Jan. 4.
Charlotte City Council will hold its Housing and Jobs Summit on Jan. 9 – 10, 2023 in Charlotte.
The Summit will allow Council Members to discuss opportunities, recommendations and plans for housing and jobs alongside partners from various organizations. The information presented will enable city leaders to make informed decisions for future policies that address key issues.
During the Summit, Council Members will receive updates from community partners and city staff on emerging trends pertaining to housing and jobs, the perspective of local housing practitioners, recommendations from HIRE Charlotte, and results from the community survey.
Day 1 of the Summit will be held on Monday, Jan. 9, 4 – 8 p.m. at the Bojangles Entertainment Complex (The BOplex), and will be open to the public. Residents who attend Day 1 will have the opportunity to access to resource tables and speak with representatives from the City of Charlotte and partner organizations.
Day 2 of the summit will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center in room 267.
