Atrium Health issued the following announcement on Jan. 12.
Atrium Health Carolinas Rehabilitation began serving the region over 70 years ago, when it treated children with polio in a tent.
On Jan. 14, the David L. Conlan Center at Atrium Health Carolinas Rehabilitation, will begin serving the community in an even better way, providing innovative, personalized therapy for common to complex conditions due to injury or illness.
Today, leaders from Atrium Health gathered to dedicate the new building in preparation for its grand opening. This new rehabilitation hospital will be a place of innovation with promising breakthroughs in clinical care.
Inside, you will find larger patient rooms for state-of-the-art equipment, a modernized therapy gym and aquatic therapy pool, and a dedicated space for adaptive sports and recreation that will help those affected by catastrophic injuries, all while overlooking our new outdoor therapy garden, improved greenway and the Charlotte tree canopy.
