The awards ceremony is a significant event that takes place during National Police Week.
According to the official announcement, nominations can be submitted either online or by mail. If choosing to submit a mailed nomination, it should be addressed to The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations Committee at Belmont Regional Center, 700 Parkwood Ave, Charlotte, NC 28205. The mail-in nominations must include the name, phone number, and email address of the person making the nomination, along with the names of the officer or officers being nominated, the district where they work, and the specific characteristics that qualify them for an award.
