Kristijan Kahlina has reached a significant milestone by becoming the second player in Charlotte FC's history to make 100 appearances for the club across all competitions. This achievement was marked during Saturday's match in D.C. Brandt Bronico was the first player to achieve this earlier in the season.
In his 100th game, Kahlina secured another clean sheet, bringing his total to 12 for the season and 25 in his Major League Soccer (MLS) career. He is currently tied for the league lead in clean sheets with LAFC's Hugo Lloris and ranks third in total saves with 121. This season has been notable for Kahlina, who is considered a leading candidate for MLS Goalkeeper of the Year.
Kahlina signed a new contract with Charlotte FC on October 1st, which extends his stay in Queen City until 2026, with an option for an additional year through 2027.
