Thursday was a typical day for the Carolina Panthers, which has been rare lately. Receiver Adam Thielen and tight end Tommy Tremble participated in their second day of practice. On defense, with more players returning from injury, the team practiced with a more complete front-seven, including Jadeveon Clowney at pass-rusher and Josey Jewell stabilizing the linebacker group. Defensive end A'Shawn Robinson also participated as a limited participant due to a knee issue.

Jewell expressed excitement about returning alongside Clowney, saying, "We're both older guys. Hopefully, we bring a good amount of leadership communication on the field." Defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero emphasized focusing on winning each game rather than relying too much on returning starters. "I really don't think about it that way," he said. "Each day is important, each week is important."

Jewell may play against his former team on Sunday alongside rookie Trevin Wallace, who is now calling plays. Jewell praised Wallace's progress: "He's done a good job...especially with me and Shaq Thompson being out."

Receiver Diontae Johnson missed practice due to an oblique injury but played 70% of offensive snaps last Sunday against the Commanders. He remains optimistic about playing this weekend despite not practicing with quarterback Bryce Young.

The Broncos' defense ranks high in total sacks with 28 through Week 7. Quarterback Bo Nix has been sacked only nine times this season. Evero noted the challenge Nix presents: "He's got the speed to get out of the pocket...he can extend plays."

Safety Sam Franklin Jr. missed Wednesday's practice for personal reasons but returned Thursday after welcoming his first child, Psalm.
