Wide receivers Diontae Johnson and Adam Thielen are among six players ruled out for the Carolina Panthers' upcoming game against the Denver Broncos. Johnson is dealing with a rib injury and has not participated in practice this week. Thielen, who has a hamstring issue, engaged in some practice sessions on Wednesday and Thursday but was absent on Friday.
The Panthers will also be without safeties Jammie Robinson (knee), Nick Scott (hamstring), Jordan Fuller (hamstring), and outside linebacker D.J. Wonnum (quadriceps). Quarterback Andy Dalton is listed as doubtful due to a right thumb injury. He did not practice this week, leaving uncertainty about his availability to back up starting quarterback Bryce Young.
Running back Jonathon Brooks, with a knee injury, and cornerback Dane Jackson, suffering from a hamstring problem, are also doubtful for Sunday's game. Despite their injuries, Thielen, Fuller, Wonnum, and Brooks have been involved in practice sessions but have yet to be activated to the 53-man roster.
Kicker Eddy Piñeiro was absent on Friday for personal reasons unrelated to an injury and does not carry any game status designation. Nine other players are currently listed as questionable.
