Crown Legacy FC has announced the signing of defender Jamie Smith. The 26-year-old Englishman joins the team after two seasons with Greenville Triumph, a USL League One side.
Smith, who hails from Birmingham, England, began his professional career with Greenville Triumph following his collegiate years. During his time there, he made 64 appearances and contributed to eight goals over two seasons. His defensive skills played a significant role in helping Greenville Triumph achieve the status of USL League One Runner-Up in 2022.
Smith's collegiate career included playing at Limestone University from 2017 to 2018 and North Carolina State University from 2019 to 2021. While in college, he also captained Asheville City Soccer Club through their NPSL seasons and USL League 2 debut. In recognition of his performance, he received the TopDrawerSoccer NPSL Young Player of the Year Award in 2019.
Jamie Smith is now part of Crown Legacy FC as a free agent signing. His addition brings professional experience to the team's defense lineup.
