Charlotte FC is set to begin its fourth season in Major League Soccer with a match against the Seattle Sounders at Lumen Field, Seattle, Washington. The game will take place on February 22 at 10:30 PM ET.

Both teams are coming off successful 2024 seasons, having made it to the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. Charlotte finished fifth in the Eastern Conference with 51 points and a goal differential of +9. Meanwhile, Seattle ended fourth in the Western Conference with 57 points and a goal differential of +16.

Charlotte FC has bolstered its lineup by signing European legend Wilfried Zaha, as well as Eryk Williamson and re-signing Pep Biel. On the other hand, Seattle has strengthened its attack by acquiring Jesus Ferreira and Paul Arriola from FC Dallas.

This match marks only the third meeting between Charlotte FC and Seattle Sounders. Their last encounter was in June 2023, ending in a 3-3 draw at Bank of America Stadium.

Fans will be watching Charlotte's new signings closely. "All eyes are on Charlotte FC’s attack," with Wilfried Zaha expected to make an impact after joining as a designated player over the winter transfer period. Patrick Agyemang also draws attention after scoring twice for the USMNT recently.
