Charlotte FC announces new technical staff ahead of the 2025 season

Charlotte FC has announced new additions to its technical staff as the team prepares for the start of the 2025 season. John Currie joins the club as Director of High Performance, coming from Celtic FC where he was Head of First Team Fitness and Conditioning since 2019. His previous roles include Head of Academy Sports Science at both Sunderland AFC and Heart of Midlothian FC.

Ricardo Oliveira will serve as a Fitness and Reconditioning Coach after spending six years with Atlanta United FC. He started as a Fitness Coach with ATL UTD 2 in 2019 before becoming the club’s Performance Coach in 2021.

Returning for their fourth season with Charlotte FC are Adam Parr and Tyler Knight. Parr, previously Head of Performance since 2023, will now be Head of Performance Science. Knight transitions from Head Athletic Trainer and Rehab Coordinator to Head of Medical and Rehabilitation.

The club begins its 2025 campaign against Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday night, followed by hosting Atlanta United on March 1.
