The Carolina Panthers are facing the Denver Broncos without key players, including last week's starting quarterback and their top wide receiver. Andy Dalton is inactive due to a sprained thumb sustained in a traffic accident last Tuesday. Bryce Young will take over as the starting quarterback, with rookie Jack Plummer stepping up as his backup.

Wide receiver Diontae Johnson is also inactive, alongside safety Jammie Robinson, cornerbacks Dane Jackson and Shemar Bartholomew, tackle Yosh Nijman, and defensive end Jonathan Harris. Despite these absences, the Panthers' defense will see contributions from A'Shawn Robinson, Jadeveon Clowney, and Josey Jewell.

With both Johnson and Adam Thielen unavailable this week, the Panthers' receiving duties fall to younger players like Xavier Legette, Jalen Coker, Jonathan Mingo, and David Moore.

On the Broncos' side, inactives include cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine, defensive lineman Eyioma Uwazurike, outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman, offensive tackle Alex Palczewski, emergency third quarterback Zach Wilson, safety PJ Locke, and tight end Greg Dulcich.
