According to a statement from the team, MRI results confirmed that Richards sustained a right first rib cartilage fracture beneath his clavicle during a game against the Boston Celtics on November 1, 2024. As a result, Richards will not be playing in the upcoming match against the Detroit Pistons on November 6 and will undergo evaluations every other week to assess his recovery progress. The next update regarding his condition is anticipated after the team's road trip concluding on November 17.
