The Carolina Panthers conducted their final Wednesday practice of the season with nine players absent. Among those not participating, outside linebacker D.J. Wonnum and cornerback Mike Jackson were excused for non-injury-related reasons.

Several players were sidelined due to injuries. Jaycee Horn is dealing with a hip issue, Robert Hunt has a knee injury, Josey Jewell is recovering from a concussion, A'Shawn Robinson has a neck problem, Amaré Barno is nursing a shoulder injury, and Lonnie Johnson is managing both shoulder and neck concerns. Additionally, safety Nick Scott missed practice because of an illness.

On a positive note for the team, veteran right tackle Taylor Moton returned to the field in a limited capacity after missing the previous game due to a knee injury. Running back Miles Sanders participated fully in practice following his designation to return from an ankle injury. Xavier Legette also practiced fully despite hip and wrist issues.
