Charlotte FC has announced the transfer of defender Jere Uronen to AIK Fotboll, a team in Sweden's top football league, Allsvenskan. The transfer is permanent and will open an international roster spot for Charlotte FC.
Uronen joined Charlotte FC in August 2023. During his time with the club, he participated in 38 matches across all competitions and made 33 starts. In the 2024 season, he recorded five assists as a fullback.
"Everyone at Charlotte FC would like to thank Jere for his time at the Club and wish him the best on his move to AIK Fotboll and throughout the rest of his career," stated Zoran Krneta, General Manager of Charlotte FC.
The transaction marks a significant change for both Uronen and Charlotte FC as they adjust their strategies moving forward.
