Charlotte FC has announced the reacquisition of Spanish attacking midfielder Pep Biel on loan from Olympiacos. The loan agreement is set to last until August 1, 2025. This move marks Biel's return to the club after a successful stint in 2024, during which he played 11 matches across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

Biel will occupy an international roster slot but not a Designated Player slot. General Manager Zoran Krneta expressed satisfaction with the deal, stating, “We wanted Pep to return to the Club in 2025 and we’re delighted to finalize a loan that sees him back in Charlotte where he played an integral role last season.” He further highlighted Biel's versatility and anticipated contributions following a full preseason with the team.

Before his initial arrival at Charlotte FC during the secondary transfer window in 2024, Biel had been with Olympiacos in Greece’s Super League. There, he scored 12 goals and provided eight assists over 59 matches. His performance drew attention due to his previous achievements at FC Copenhagen, where he contributed significantly with 32 goals and 28 assists, winning a Danish league title and being named club player of the season for 2021/2022.

Biel's career began in Spain with CE Constancia before moving on to Real Zaragoza. In Denmark, he made notable strides at FC Copenhagen before transferring to Olympiacos. He also spent time on loan at Augsburg in Germany's Bundesliga early in 2024.

The transaction sees Charlotte FC securing Biel’s services on loan until mid-2025 as they look forward to enhancing their attacking options.
