The Panthers have announced several new additions and changes to their football staff as they prepare for the 2025 season. Among the key hires is Denny Kellington, who joins as the vice president of player health and performance. Kellington previously served as an associate athletic trainer with the Bills and gained recognition for his quick response in saving Damar Hamlin's life during a game on January 2, 2023.

"All the attention I've received for simply doing my job has been overwhelming," Kellington remarked during a commencement address at Oklahoma State University. "I've said repeatedly that I am not a hero, but I will tell you what I was that day, I was ready." In his new role, Kellington will manage various departments including athletic training, strength and conditioning, nutrition, and sports science.

Additionally, Josh Hingst has been appointed as the director of performance after serving as a strength coach with the Vikings. The team also introduced changes within its coaching staff by hiring Renaldo Hill as secondary coach, AC Carter as outside linebackers coach, Keyshawn Colmon as offensive assistant, and Kevin Peterson as defensive assistant.

Renaldo Hill brings experience from a decade-long NFL playing career and coaching stints with multiple teams including the Dolphins and Broncos. AC Carter arrives from the Rams where he was an assistant defensive line coach. Keyshawn Colmon has collegiate coaching experience from Fresno State and Sacramento State. Kevin Peterson transitions into coaching after playing six seasons in the NFL.

In addition to these new hires, existing staff members have received new titles. Mike Bercovici becomes assistant quarterbacks coach and pass game specialist while Mayur Chaudhari is now assistant linebackers coach. Jim Caldwell takes on a senior advisory role within the coaching staff.

The updated Panthers' coaching roster features Dave Canales as head coach with Brad Idzik serving as offensive coordinator and Ejiro Evero overseeing defense among other specialized roles outlined in their organizational structure.
