The 2025 NFL Draft is approaching, with teams preparing their selections ahead of the event set for April 24 in Green Bay. The Carolina Panthers, like other teams, are reviewing their strategies and evaluating potential prospects. This process involves analyzing team needs and potential draft picks.

The Panthers currently hold nine draft picks, with selections spread across seven rounds: two in the first and second rounds, and several others spanning the subsequent rounds. Focused analysis of the running back position has highlighted several prospects of interest.

Chuba Hubbard remains a key player for the Panthers after securing a contract extension. The team also signed Raheem Blackshear in the spring and added free agent Rico Dowdle. These changes come after parting ways with Miles Sanders. Dowdle contributes as a 1,000-yard rusher, complementing Hubbard’s recent 1,000-plus yard season.

Among the draft prospects, Ashton Jeanty from Boise State stands out. The Heisman finalist showed remarkable abilities by accumulating 2,601 yards, the most since 1988, and scoring 30 touchdowns this season. Omarion Hampton from North Carolina, another notable prospect, finished with the third-most rushing yards in college football, displaying both speed and resilience on the field.

Cam Skattebo of Arizona State made headlines with impressive playoff performances, ranking second in the FBS for rushing and all-purpose yards. Although his 40-yard dash time at a private workout may impact his draft position, his skills suggest potential.

Dylan Sampson from Tennessee, recognized as the SEC Offensive Player of the Year, had a strong season with 1,491 yards and 22 touchdowns. His physical style and endurance set him apart. Lastly, Treveyon Henderson from Ohio State, despite splitting backfield duties, showcased his abilities with over 1,000 yards and notable versatility as a receiver.

The Panthers are expected to carefully weigh their options as they prepare to make strategic selections in the upcoming draft.
