The Mecklenburg County Office of Economic Development is offering support to entrepreneurs seeking to advance their businesses. The office has opened registration for the spring 2025 What’s Next Seminar Series, a virtual offering designed to guide business owners towards further growth.
This seminar series will take place over three weeks in May, comprising six parts administered by Johnson C. Smith University. Industry experts will cover a range of essential business topics, aimed at helping attendees enhance their operations and scalability.
The series includes the following lectures:
- "Scaling Sales and Marketing" on May 6, focused on creating effective marketing strategies to facilitate business scaling.
- "Funding for Growth" on May 8, which will guide participants in evaluating financial health and funding growth.
- "Planning for Growth" on May 13, intended to assist businesses in achieving scalability.
- "Hiring for the Long Haul" on May 15, concentrating on recruitment strategies and aligning jobs with suitable candidates.
- "Scaling Operations" on May 20, emphasizing the importance of building business infrastructure and processes.
- "Tales of Growth" on May 22, where entrepreneurs share their experiences in transitioning from operational roles to strategic business development.
Attendees may choose to register for individual seminars or the entire series. Completing all seminars will earn participants a certificate of completion. Each session is scheduled from 6-8 p.m.
