Do you know the signs and symptoms of a stroke? If not, take the time to learn BE FAST – this could save a life.
Doctor Jason Madey, MD, who is the medical director of strokes at Atrium Health Pineville, says: “If you have neurological symptoms, whether it is difficulty speaking, paralysis in the face, visual problems and/or changes in the function and movement on one side of your body, come to the hospital of right away. "
Time is a brain, which means the longer you wait to treat a stroke, the more damage will happen. And you can't turn back time.
Atrium Health has the largest and most experienced stroke network in the region, composed of a multidisciplinary stroke management team which provides special attention from the moment the patient arrives in the room emergency room until he completes his rehab.
