Charlotte Fire Department issued the following announcement on Apr. 27.
+Since 1982, the Charlotte Fire Investigation Task Force, comprised of specialized members of CFD, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives investigate fires within the city limits
+Accidental kitchen fires remain the leading cause of fires in Charlotte
+Arson, intentionally set fires, devastate both homes and families and is a felony in the state of NC
