6th Annual Promise Holiday Cheer Christmas Party | PL free stock photo
City of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 19.
Promise Youth Development, Inc held its 6th Annual Promise Holiday Cheer Christmas party last week at the Recreation Center on Albemarle Road. Christmas gifts and a hot meal were given to the youth and their families in the east Charlotte community.
Several Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers serve as mentors to many of the youth enrolled in Promised Youth Development’s free mentoring program.
The non-profit provides anti-violence, education and wellness programs throughout the year for boys and girls ages 8-18.
The relationships built between our officers and the wonderful young people taking part in this great program are priceless!
