City of Charlotte Fire Department issued the following announcement on March 20.
Registration for Camp Ignite is now open to all high school girls in Charlotte and the surrounding areas.
Applications are available thru April 2.
CAMP IGNITE is a FREE camp that educates and inspires high school girls to follow their dreams by introducing them to a future of limitless opportunities.
The curriculum provides a safe, dynamic, and interactive environment to introduce campers to the fundamentals of firefighting and ignites courage, confidence, and character.
Campers train alongside female firefighters as we break down barriers and stereotypes in a male-dominated career.
During their 4-night, 5-day stay, campers learn skills associated with search and rescue techniques, hose-line advancement, rappelling, ladders, and much more. Apply here -> http://bit.ly/3TxJ7xe
