Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services is inviting residents to participate in The Big Spring Clean event scheduled for Saturday, March 29. This community initiative will focus on cleaning litter from creeks and creek banks at seven locations across Charlotte-Mecklenburg.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome to join the effort to remove debris and litter from local waterways. According to Storm Water Services, they will provide gloves, trash bags, water, and snacks for all participants.

"Your help keeps our waterways free of debris and litter," stated the organizers. Last year’s Big Spring Clean saw volunteers collect 9,000 pounds of trash.

Residents interested in participating can register by visiting StormWater.CharMeck.org and clicking on the Creek Week banner.
