Diana’s Market
This unique tienda Latina opened a year ago in a former church building at 8735 Mt. Holly Road in Northwest Charlotte. It’s bright red and lime green paint are hard to miss, and the authentic Hispanic snacks inside are hard to resist. While this small store isn’t as large as some of the Latin supermarkets throughout the city, it makes up for its size in great products and better charm. See Diana's Market location.

Take Care of Yourself
Silly Monkey Cookie Company
Normally this is the section where we feature salons, barber shops, and tattoo parlors, but sometimes taking care of yourself means having another dessert—especially when that dessert is a work of art. Dulcinea moved to Charlotte with her husband Bill four years ago, and they brought their successful cookie business with them. Each cookie is made from traditional Mexican ingredients and is decorated by hand. Now this is how you treat yourself. Contact Dulcinea or Bill online to place an order. Visit Silly Monkey Cookie Company online.
“Silly Monkey Cookie Company did a wonderful job on the cookies I ordered for a celebration. They were perfectly done with beautiful details. I could not have asked for anything better. Thank you for adding the perfect touch to my celebration.” - Vincenza S

Head to Uptown between Brooklyn Village Avenue and 4th Street from noon to 6 p.m. on Oct. 7 for the 11th year of Hola Charlotte! Learn more about the Hola Charlotte Festival.
