The Panthers have made changes to their roster, including promoting a linebacker and signing a cornerback. The team announced Tuesday that they have signed linebacker Chandler Wooten to the active roster from the practice squad. Additionally, they have added cornerback Caleb Farley to the practice squad.

Farley, a 25-year-old native of Maiden, North Carolina, tried out for the team on Tuesday. He was the 22nd overall pick in the first round of the 2021 draft by the Titans. However, his career with the Titans was affected by injuries, limiting him to 12 games over two seasons.

Wooten's promotion provides depth at linebacker following Shaq Thompson's season-ending injury and Josey Jewell's injury, which will sideline him for at least this week. Wooten has played in 17 games over the past two seasons after initially being signed off the Cardinals' practice squad.
