With a series of injuries affecting key defensive players, the Carolina Panthers faced significant challenges during their recent game against the Chicago Bears. The match concluded with a 36-10 loss for the Panthers at Soldier Field.

The Panthers' lineup was notably weakened as outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney exited in the second quarter due to a shoulder injury. Additionally, captains Derrick Brown and Shaq Thompson were already on injured reserve, and inside linebacker Josey Jewell was sidelined with hamstring and groin injuries.

These absences may have contributed to the Bears' strong first half, where they secured a 27-7 lead by halftime and accumulated 289 yards of total offense. In contrast, the Panthers struggled offensively, failing to convert any of their six third-down attempts in the first half.

The team's frustrations culminated in three turnovers and an altercation following a late Bears touchdown. Jaycee Horn was ejected from the game late in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Bryce Young entered later in the game but was unable to turn things around, completing four out of seven passes for 58 yards before being sacked on fourth down. Andy Dalton's performance also fell short compared to his previous outings against other teams.

Injuries continued to mount throughout the game. Right tackle Taylor Moton left with an elbow injury after maintaining an ironman streak since 2018. Center Austin Corbett departed due to a biceps injury, while tight end Tommy Tremble did not return after being evaluated for a concussion. Rookie wideout Xavier Legette suffered a shoulder injury, and outside linebacker DJ Johnson temporarily exited before returning later.

Weather conditions also played a role in the game's dynamics. The windy environment affected both teams' kicking efforts; Bears kicker Cairo Santos missed an extra point, while Eddy Piñeiro's attempt from 45 yards was pushed wide left just before halftime.
