The Carolina Panthers have reinforced their roster by signing lineman Cade Mays and linebacker Thomas Incoom. Mays, who was previously with the team for two seasons, returns from the New York Giants' practice squad. His addition comes after Austin Corbett's season-ending biceps injury left a gap in the offensive line. Mays, a sixth-round pick in 2022, is capable of playing both center and guard positions. This versatility is needed as Brady Christensen moves to the starting lineup and Andrew Raym deals with a concussion.

Mays has participated in 27 games over his past tenure with the Panthers, starting seven of them. Meanwhile, Incoom has been elevated from the practice squad for recent games and previously spent time with the Denver Broncos without appearing in any matches.

In related roster adjustments, running back Mike Boone has been released, while defensive tackle Jayden Peevy and Russ Yeast were waived. Safety Alex Cook has also been released from the practice squad. These changes result in two open spots on both the 53-man roster and the practice squad.
