The Carolina Panthers faced a challenging practice session on Wednesday as they prepared for their upcoming game against the Atlanta Falcons. The team was missing four key starters due to injuries, in addition to one player already ruled out for the rest of the season.

Among those absent from practice were outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney, who is dealing with a shoulder injury, and right tackle Taylor Moton, sidelined by an elbow issue. Linebacker Josey Jewell is recovering from hamstring and groin injuries, while tight end Tommy Tremble is out with a concussion. Backup center Andrew Raym also missed practice due to a concussion, and Austin Corbett will not return this season after suffering a torn biceps.

Some players participated in practice but were limited. Diontae Johnson was restricted by an ankle injury, as was defensive end A'Shawn Robinson.

There were some positive signs as well. Left tackle Ikem Ekwonu fully participated despite an elbow concern, along with wide receiver Xavier Legette (shoulder). Dane Jackson and Ian Thomas are both making progress in their recovery from injuries and practiced fully within their three-week window to return from injured reserve.

The Panthers continue to manage their roster as they navigate these challenges ahead of facing the Falcons.
