City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services has announced that residential garbage, recycling, yard waste, and bulky waste will be collected as scheduled on Monday, October 14. The city will remain operational on Indigenous Peoples' Day, ensuring there is no delay in the collection services. Residents are reminded to place their carts at the curb by 6 a.m. on their designated collection day.

This upcoming Monday marks a green recycling week. To verify their specific collection day, residents can use the city's property tool, My Charlotte Lookup. By entering their address, they can confirm their service day and determine if they are part of an orange or green recycling week.

Solid Waste Services also provides text updates for any changes to the collection schedule. Residents interested in receiving these updates can text their collection day to 73224. For instance, if Thursday is their collection day, they should text "Thursday" to this number.
