The Carolina Panthers and Belk have announced a multi-year partnership aimed at making a positive impact in the Carolinas. The collaboration will focus on community initiatives related to social responsibility, health and wellness, and youth football.
Belk, a department store company based in Charlotte with nearly 300 locations across the Southeast, will partner with the Panthers on various programs and events. The first of these is the "Concert for Carolina" show at Bank of America Stadium on October 26. This benefit concert will direct all proceeds to Hurricane Helene relief efforts.
"Ever since our doors first opened 136 years ago, Belk has a proud history of supporting and celebrating the communities we serve," said Don Hendricks, CEO of Belk. "We're proud to call Charlotte our hometown, and through this partnership with the Panthers, we're looking forward to working on even more impactful programs together here in the Carolinas."
Belk will also support the Panthers' annual Joy to the Carolinas event later this year. Kristi Coleman, Team President of the Carolina Panthers, expressed enthusiasm about the new alliance: "As one team that reaches across two states, we're committed to the Carolinas and it's important for our partners to share that passion when we are developing our business relationships. We're excited about the opportunities our partnership with Belk presents not only for our organization but for our community and fans."
Starting in 2025, Belk will present several events including the Keep Pounding High School Classic football game at Bank of America Stadium and serve as presenting partner for a family-friendly Tree Lighting Festival. Additionally, they will host Junior TopCats camps for young women interested in arts and entertainment.
Belk has been part of Charlotte's retail landscape since opening its first store in 1888. It continues its tradition of serving customers while supporting local charities and organizations throughout its network of stores across 16 Southeastern states.
The Carolina Panthers have been an NFL franchise since 1993 and play their home games at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. They are actively involved with over 3,800 community partners across North Carolina and South Carolina each year.
