The Carolina Panthers will face the New Orleans Saints without two of their offensive starters this Sunday. Left tackle Ikem Ekwonu is sidelined due to an ankle injury, while tight end Tommy Tremble is inactive because of a back issue. Although Tremble was initially listed as questionable, the team decided to add tight end Jordan Matthews to the active roster on Saturday for additional depth.
The Panthers have also announced that safety Jammie Robinson, cornerback Shemar Bartholomew, outside linebacker DJ Johnson, and tight end Feleipe Franks are inactive this week. To compensate for Ekwonu's absence, Brady Christensen will start at left tackle with Cade Mays taking on center duties.
In preparation for the game, the Panthers elevated cornerback Caleb Farley and wide receiver Deven Thompkins from the practice squad. Thompkins will don jersey number 13.
The Saints have their own list of inactives which includes cornerbacks Kool-Aid McKinstry and Marshon Lattimore, running back Jamaal Williams, cornerback Rico Payton, linebacker Jaylan Ford, defensive tackle John Ridgeway III, and quarterback Spencer Rattler as the designated third quarterback.
