The Carolina Panthers secured a narrow victory over the New Orleans Saints with a 23-22 win at Bank of America Stadium. This result marked the end of a five-game losing streak for the Panthers, bringing their record to 2-7 and extending the Saints' losing streak to seven games.

Chuba Hubbard's second touchdown late in the game was decisive. The Saints had an opportunity to regain the lead, but Mike Jackson thwarted a fourth-down pass attempt from Derek Carr.

Despite securing the win, there were tense moments for the Panthers, particularly when Bryce Young threw a fourth-quarter interception. Saints cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles intercepted a pass intended for Xavier Legette, highlighting his role in covering for injured teammates.

Legette managed to return after sustaining a hand injury earlier in the game. He scored his fourth touchdown of the season and received support from rookie tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders and wide receiver Jalen Coker. Sanders made four catches for 87 yards, including an impressive 46-yard gain that set up another Hubbard touchdown.

Bryce Young completed 16 out of 26 passes for 171 yards, throwing one touchdown and one interception. The Panthers' defense held the Saints to just 22 points, matching their season-low allowed points against any opponent.

The Saints faced challenges early on as Chris Olave suffered a concussion following a hit by Panthers safety Xavier Woods. Olave was taken off the field on a backboard and transported to Atrium Health Carolinas for further evaluation but showed movement in all extremities.

Both teams dealt with injuries impacting their available targets throughout this closely contested match-up.
