The Carolina Panthers have made a strategic move to bolster their 2025 draft options through a recent trade. On Tuesday, the Panthers traded wide receiver Jonathan Mingo, along with a 2025 seventh-round pick, to the Dallas Cowboys. In exchange, the Panthers acquired a fourth-round pick from the Cowboys for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Jonathan Mingo was selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft as the 39th overall pick. Over his time with the Panthers, he participated in 24 games and achieved 55 receptions on 111 targets, accumulating a total of 539 yards.
This trade enhances the Panthers' position in future drafts. They now hold eight picks within the first five rounds of the upcoming 2025 draft. This includes one pick in each of the first three rounds, two picks in the fourth round, three picks in the fifth round, and one pick in the seventh round.
