Charlotte FC's journey in the MLS Cup Playoffs concluded with a penalty shootout defeat against Orlando. The match, marked by intense moments and decisions, saw Charlotte exhibit determination and resilience.

The first half was filled with defensive efforts from Charlotte as Orlando created opportunities, hitting the post twice. A controversial moment arose when Patrick Agyemang appeared to score following a pass from Pep Biel. However, the goal was ruled offside, a decision that left many questioning due to unclear camera angles. At halftime, the score remained 0-0.

In the second half, Charlotte made strategic changes by introducing Karol Swiderski and Liel Abada. This shift paid off in the 81st minute when Swiderski scored after receiving a pass from Abada, putting Charlotte ahead 1-0.

Orlando responded with increased pressure. In a critical moment within the box, a penalty was awarded to Orlando after a review by VAR suggested an error by the referee. Despite Kahlina saving the initial penalty shot, Facundo Torres capitalized on the rebound to equalize at 1-1 during stoppage time.

The match proceeded to penalties where Orlando emerged victorious with a 4-1 win in the shootout. Although Charlotte FC's season ended here, head coach Dean Smith and his team can reflect on their strong performance throughout the season and set high expectations for next year.
