Cornerbacks Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson have solidified their partnership with new contracts, continuing their successful collaboration on the field. Last season, the duo led the league in passes defended with a total of 30 between them. Despite coming from different backgrounds—Horn as a former first-round pick and Jackson as a fifth-rounder acquired via trade—their chemistry was evident.

Jackson expressed excitement about returning to the Panthers, fulfilling his promise to Horn after becoming a free agent. "I told him no matter what, like bro, they offer me something, I'm coming back like you ain't even got to worry about it," Jackson stated. He signed a two-year contract following a standout season with 76 tackles and 17 passes defended.

Horn also secured his future with the Panthers by signing a record-breaking contract for cornerbacks in NFL history. Reflecting on their teamwork, Horn acknowledged Jackson's influence: "Me and Mike put in a lot of work. He helped my game tremendously."

The pair aims to maintain their performance levels post-contract signing. Jackson is committed to motivating Horn to excel further: "Like we all seeing guys get paid and then they don't have good years... So that's kind of my challenge to him all year."

Horn values this accountability and looks forward to reciprocating as they prepare for another season together. "We played good with each other, we raise each other's game," he said.

Both players are eager to build on last year's success with long-term goals in mind.
