Charlotte FC secured a commanding 4-1 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes, marking their sixth consecutive home win in the regular season. The team has now amassed a club record of 10 points through their first five matches of the season.

Despite missing three starters due to international duty, Charlotte began to assert control just ten minutes into the match, scoring three goals before halftime. A penalty and red card given to Andrew Privett in the 74th minute were not enough to derail Charlotte's momentum.

Pep Biel delivered an outstanding performance with one goal and two assists, earning him Man of the Match honors. "He played confidently and stuffed the stat sheet," read part of the match notes.

Souleyman Doumbia started at left-back after arriving late but was instrumental in initiating attacks. Kristijan Kahlina also made a significant impact with an early save that prevented San Jose from taking an initial lead.

The goals came from multiple contributors: Doumbia set up Pep Biel for the opening goal, Idan Toklomati assisted Ashley Westwood for his first goal of the season, Brandt Bronico scored following a pass from Biel, and Kerwin Vargas added another after being set up by Biel again.

San Jose attempted tactical changes during halftime but could not overcome Charlotte's dominance. Despite being reduced to ten men following Privett's red card, Charlotte maintained control until Chico Arango scored for San Jose.

Charlotte now looks forward to facing Colorado Rapids next as they continue their promising start to the season.
