Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department issued the following announcement on Sep 25.
In response to recent shootings and violence in our community, Chief Jennings took part in a panel discussion today to talk through issues and work towards developing solutions to make Charlotte a safer city. Chief Jennings was joined by Mecklenburg County Sheriff Gary McFadden as well as members of the Community Relations Department, area mental health providers, and officials from the court system.
