City of Charlotte issued the following announcement on Feb. 15.
All Transit Service to Pause in Honor of Bus Operator Ethan Rivera
CATS is asking all community members and riders to observe a moment of silence at noon on Friday, February 18 to honor deceased CATS Bus Operator, Ethan Rivera. To observe this moment of silence, CATS will pause all transit operations for two minutes.
At noon, CATS will perform an “all-call” radio communication to all bus, light rail, streetcar and paratransit operators announcing the moment of silence. During this moment of silence, operators will only pause service if deemed safe with current roadway and traffic conditions.
