CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The City of Charlotte has launched the inaugural Strategic Energy Action Plan (SEAP) dashboard. The interactive dashboard gives users insight on progress towards achieving the SEAP goals, originally adopted by council in 2018. The goals focus on reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and the associated actions that support a healthy, sustainable community.

“The SEAP Dashboard encourages community involvement and highlights our city’s journey towards a greener future,” said Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles. “I’m proud of our city’s progress and look forward to the positive impact this tool will have.”

Highlights of the SEAP dashboard include:

  • Municipal and community investments in electric vehicle charging.
  • Municipal and community investments in on-site solar energy.
  • An interactive GHG emissions chart.
  • Municipal energy benchmarking portfolio and our Power Down the crown community partners.
The SEAP dashboard data will be updated annually. Additional data is scheduled to be added on a bi-annual basis. For more information, please see the SEAP Dashboard.
