With a unanimous vote, Charlotte City Council accepted a $160,000 commitment from Lowe’s to help fund three Corridors of Opportunity initiatives.

"We are thankful for the support of Lowe’s, whose commitment to community development aligns seamlessly with our vision for a thriving city,” said Monica Holmes, executive manager of the Corridors of Opportunity program. This donation will contribute significantly to the Corridors of Opportunity program's success, enhancing our residents' overall well-being."

This significant contribution reflects Lowe's continued commitment to invest in programs that strengthen the Charlotte region. The funds will go toward quarterly corridor cleanups, the rehabilitation of three Corridor Opportunity Hubs and logistics costs for the Corridors Connect event series, ensuring that Corridors of Opportunity can continue to fulfill its mission.

Fostering strong, vibrant neighborhoods is foundational to our commitment to the Charlotte community."
