Charlotte FC forward Karol Swiderski has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday following his performance in a 4-3 victory against Chicago Fire. Swiderski's two goals in the first half played a crucial role in securing Charlotte FC's place in the 2024 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. Midfielder Pep Biel also earned recognition with two assists, placing him on the Team of the Matchday bench.

The win ensures that Charlotte FC will host its inaugural playoff match at Bank of America Stadium. Swiderski scored his first goal in the eighth minute, assisted by Biel, and later added another with a header from Nathan Byrne's cross before halftime.

Swiderski has scored three goals in his last two matches and five since returning from a loan spell with Hellas Verona in Serie A. Charlotte FC is set to play its final home game of the regular season against CF Montreal on Saturday, October 5, at 7:30 p.m. ET. The team aims to secure a top-seven seed to avoid the Wildcard play-in match.
