Charlotte FC is preparing to secure a position in Round 1 of the Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs, aiming to avoid a Wild Card match. The team will face CF Montreal on Saturday, a side also vying for playoff contention.

In their recent victory, Charlotte FC saw all three designated players score in the same match for the first time. The performance of Swiderski, Biel, and Abada was crucial as they contributed to seven chances created and an expected goals (xG) tally of 3.07 during their 4-3 win. This marked consecutive home matches with four goals, a first in the club's history.

To succeed against Montreal's defense, feeding these key players early is essential. Head Coach Dean Smith remarked, "Going into the Montreal game, we know what they're capable of but the most important thing for me is that we know what we're capable."

The support from fans has been significant throughout the season. Charlotte FC ranks third in points at home within the Eastern Conference. As they prepare for one final regular-season home match before debuting in the MLS Cup Playoffs, Smith expressed gratitude towards supporters: "We can go for everything tomorrow and throw everything at it and try to get the win and get that fourth place."

Smith emphasized consistency: “Good teams go on good runs. When good teams go on good runs, they win things.” With hopes set on finishing in the top four of the Eastern Conference standings, Charlotte FC aims to continue their winning streak without overcomplicating strategies.
