The Carolina Panthers have made strategic changes to their roster by adding experienced players Ian Thomas and Marquis Haynes Sr. to the 53-man lineup. This decision follows the placement of center Austin Corbett on injured reserve due to a torn biceps, ending his season.

Ian Thomas, a tight end, has been practicing for the past two weeks after recovering from a calf injury that had him on injured reserve. His return is timely as starter Tommy Tremble is unavailable because of a concussion.

Marquis Haynes Sr., an outside linebacker and former fourth-round pick in 2018, was recently signed to the practice squad. His inclusion provides necessary support at his position since Jadeveon Clowney is doubtful for play due to a shoulder injury.

In addition, the Panthers have elevated defensive tackle T.J. Smith and offensive lineman Brandon Walton from the practice squad under standard elevation rules. Meanwhile, cornerback Dane Jackson has been declared out for Sunday's game but will continue practicing as he aims to return from injured reserve.
