The Carolina Panthers have announced a series of roster changes, including placing safety Nick Scott on injured reserve. Scott, who is 29 years old, sustained a hamstring injury during last week's game against Washington and will be sidelined for at least four weeks. He had been starting in place of Jordan Fuller, who also remains on injured reserve but has resumed practicing.

To address the vacancies, the Panthers have activated Sam Franklin Jr. from injured reserve and signed Russ Yeast from the practice squad. Franklin, known as the team's special teams captain, has been recovering from a broken foot suffered during training camp. Yeast brings familiarity with the defensive staff from his previous tenure with the Rams and participated in one game earlier this season.

The team faces additional challenges in their secondary as safety Jammie Robinson is out this week due to a knee injury. This necessitated bolstering their depth at that position.

Furthermore, cornerback Caleb Farley and quarterback Jack Plummer have been elevated from the practice squad under standard elevation rules. This marks their first of three available standard elevations each.

Quarterback Andy Dalton is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game following a sprained thumb incurred in a car accident earlier this week. As a result, Bryce Young is set to start against the Broncos.

In other updates, running back Jonathon Brooks and defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy have been downgraded to out for Sunday's matchup despite participating in practice sessions. They remain unactivated on the 53-man roster.
