Charlotte FC faces a critical match after their 2-0 defeat against Orlando in the Audi 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs. The team must win their upcoming home game to stay in contention.

In the first half, Orlando dominated by pressing high and forcing Charlotte into errors. Despite two significant saves from Kristijan Kahlina, Facundo Torres managed to score in the 32nd minute, marking his third goal against Charlotte this season. Charlotte struggled but ended the half trailing by just one goal.

The second half saw Charlotte increase their efforts, earning four corners within 15 minutes. However, they failed to convert these opportunities as Orlando's defense held firm. Patrick Agyemang came on as a substitute in the 69th minute and had a promising header saved by the keeper. Shortly after, Orlando capitalized on a high press from Charlotte's backline when Angulo set up Ojeda for a second goal.

The match concluded with Pep Biel receiving a red card following an altercation with Jansson outside the box, ruling him out of the next game.

Charlotte FC now faces a must-win scenario at home on Friday night. This will be their first-ever playoff match at home, and they will rely on strong support from their fans to force a decisive third match in the series.
